CHECK OUT WORKSHOPS
Creative DIY
These workshops engage participants in creating a unique and one-of-a-kind project. I encourage upcycling materials and making them into practical, pieces of art. These workshops take you from start to finish and depending on the project will depend on the time needed.
WHEN AND WHERE...WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Hands On – Q&A
These workshops provide an opportunity for participants to explore tools and techniques that are transferable to future projects and home repairs. I encourage participants to bring tools, that they have, in order to explore their workings and applications. I will also have a variety of tools to explore for specific topics of interest. These workshops can be 2 -8 hours, depending on the need.

Community Building Workshops For Women
These workshops provide an opportunity for participants to explore tools and techniques that are transferable to future projects and home repairs. I encourage participants to bring tools, that they have, in order to explore their workings and applications. I will also have a variety of tools to explore for specific topics of interest. These workshops can be 2 -8 hours, depending on the need.
WHEN AND WHERE?
These sessions are geared towards organizations or companies who require workshops over an extended period of time (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
These workshops are designed to allow all participants to explore their skillset in a variety of situations using various tools and materials. This hands-on approach gives me an opportunity to focus on the individual needs of the participants and gives them concrete experience and skill to use in their daily lives.
These packages of workshops were designed to cater to organizations that work with women at risk or women’s organizations who want a different platform for the women to be confident with tools and challenges that independent live gives.
- Women’s shelters
- Women’s transition houses or low-income housing units
- Youth transition Houses
- Women’s community centres and Addiction centres (long or short term) (residential or out patient)
Women run programs within organizations
One component of these workshops is having the participants make something practical to learn these skills. An example is making a box or a plant table.
The other component to these workshops is having the women fix and repair broken things within your organization. In doing this your maintenance costs go down and you are helping women feel like they belong and are a part of your organization. Some examples that can apply are as follows…
- Patch holes in walls
- Tighten, replace or fix hinges and hardware
- Change door knobs and locks
- Prime and paint walls
- Check to make sure plumbing is working properly
- Furniture repair
- Build a shed
- Build a garbage container, (squirrel proof)
- Build picnic tables
- Repair lamps or light fixtures
- Caulk tubs or sinks
Cost will depend on the workshops chosen and the number of participants. Different packages of sessions can be created according to your needs.
